2015 Water Is Life Traveling Art Exhibit

The Water Is Life traveling art exhibit is on display now through June 23 at Central Basin headquarters!

In partnership with the Metropolitan Water District, Central Basin annually sponsors the water conservation poster contest throughout our service area for students in grades 4 – 8. As part of water awareness month, the contest encourages students to illustrate water use and conservation messaging. Other Metropolitan member agencies across Southern California also co-sponsor this program and select a winning piece to be featured in the 2016 Water Is Life Calendar.

This year, Central Basin is proud to recognize Mar Sanchez, 8th grade student from Los Alisos Middle School as the contest winner. Miss Sanchez’ artistic efforts will be recognized at the Board of Directors meeting on Monday, June 22, at 10:00AM. Her artwork will be featured in the 2016 Water Is Life Calendar, which will be available later on this year. Congratulations to all of the students who participated in this year’s contest!
