Central Basin Board of Directors Adopts New Meeting Date
Carson, CA - The Central Basin Municipal Water District Board of Directors has moved its regular board meetings to the 4th Tuesday of every month at 1:00 p.m.
The scheduling change allows the District to avoid scheduling conflicts with its former sister agency, West Basin Municipal Water District. Both boards previously met on the 4th Monday of every month, with Central Basin meetings starting at 11:00 a.m. and West Basin at 1:00 p.m.
"Although the decision to separate Districts was not ours, we will continue to do whatever it takes to make the transition as smooth and amicable as possible," said Central Basin Board President Bob Apodaca. "By taking the initiative to move our board meetings, both Districts will be able to properly conduct business within the boardroom without having to worry about scheduling conflicts."
Although the decision made by West Basin Municipal Water District to separate from Central Basin was made effective on July 1, 2006, the two agencies have continued to share the same District headquarters in Carson.
