EAST LOS ANGELES, CA. - Central Basin Municipal Water District Director Charles M. Trevío urges residents to participate in the new $75 Central Basin Municipal Water District Residential Ultra-Low Flow Toilet Rebate Program, now available to East Los Angeles residents served by the California Water Service Company. In order to receive this rebate, residents simply need to purchase a new ultra-low flow toilet, complete a rebate application, and mail in the application with the original receipt to qualify for the $75 rebate. With the average toilet valued between $70 and $150, residents gain substantial savings courtesy of Central Basin and California Water Service.

"Thanks to California Water Service's contribution of an additional $25 per toilet, the Central Basin $50 rebate has now been increased to $75 per new toilet purchased," said Director Charles Trevío of the Central Basin Municipal Water District. "Now is the time to take advantage of this new offer. With Southern California experiencing the driest season in history, we all need to do our part to conserve water. By participating in this program, you are guaranteed to reduce your water bill while also saving water. Just call (877) 732-2830 and find out how."

In addition to the $75 rebate, Central Basin Municipal Water District is still offering $50 rebates to those customers who reside in communities outside of East Los Angeles including the cities of Commerce, Huntington Park, Maywood, and Vernon. At $50, the Central Basin Residential Ultra-Low Flow Toilet Rebate also provides customers with considerable savings on a new low flow toilet while delivering immediate results in terms of money saved on residents' water bills.

Representatives are available at (877) 732-2830 to provide applications and to answer any questions customers may have. Residents who participate in the rebate program should expect a check in the mail within six weeks following submission of their application.
