DOWNEY - Central Basin Municipal Water District will join forces with the City of Downey to bring their Ultra Low Flow Toilet Program to the Association of Retarded Citizens of Southeast LA's Center on Saturday, June 1st. Besides the free ultra low flow toilet giveaway, residents will be offered a Water Fair where numerous community organizations and local elected offices will provide participants with information on free services. The Downey Water Fair 2002 and the Downey Ultra Low Flow Toilet Giveaway are both free of charge and open to all residents who live in the City of Downey.

A few of the organizations and elected offices participating in this community fair include the office of Assemblymember Marco Firebaugh, Southern California Edison, Latino Health Care, CHIRLA, and the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF).

As the community outreach segment of this event, the Association of Retarded Citizens of Southeast Los Angeles (ARC) will have the opportunity to raise $12,000 to support their extensive training programs.
