Bob Apodaca Named to Metropolitan Water District Board
CARSON, CA. - Board President Bob Apodaca of the Central Basin Municipal Water District was appointed to serve on the 37-member Metropolitan Water District Board of Directors following Central Basin board's action Monday, April 28, naming him to that post.
"I am proud to be representing Central Basin on the Metropolitan Board," said President Bob Apodaca. "It will give me an opportunity to impact the state's water picture, and advocate for water education resources to go to the diverse communities that Central Basin represents."
Re-elected in 2002, he represents Division II of the Central Basin, covering the cities of La Habra Heights, La Mirada, Pico Rivera, Santa Fe Springs, and Whittier. Metropolitan's service area includes the counties of Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego.
Professionally, Apodaca has been a dedicated public servant for forty years. His work has impacted residents from the City of Los Angeles to Whittier and the San Gabriel Valley to Sacramento. A longtime resident of Whittier, Apodaca has served on various city commissions and continues to serve on the board of directors for various community organizations.
