Local Water Quality Engineer Honored by Water for People

Exemplary Voluntary Service Results in Kenneth J. Miller Founder's Award

CARSON, CA. - The American Water Works Association recently presented Uzi Daniel with the Kenneth J. Miller Founders' Award for five years of voluntary service. Ms. Daniel, an Environmental Quality Analyst at Central Basin Municipal Water District, is the Vice Chair of the California/Nevada Section of Water for People.

"We are proud of Ms. Daniel's international humanitarian efforts," said Darryl Miller, General Manager, Central Basin Municipal Water District. "Uzi exemplifies the water professional who is committed to the betterment of water here in the states while also dedicating her time to improving service and infrastructure abroad."

Water For People is an international humanitarian organization that deeply values water as an essential economic, environmental, and social good. Water For People uses water as a catalyst for change in communities throughout the world that lack access to drinking water.

Ms. Daniel, a new employee at Central Basin Municipal Water District, focuses her efforts professionally on research and development, and the environmental compliance of Central Basin's various water recycling projects.
