Commerce, CA- Central Basin Municipal Water District has received its second consecutive Achievement Award by the Municipal Information Systems Association of California (MISAC), recognized for its outstanding Information Technology (IT) practices.

This prestigious award honors cities and special districts statewide for IT programs that exceed industry standards and demonstrate innovation and efficiencies in government practice.

Winning entries are judged by an impartial panel of IT Directors, rated in six out of ten categories that include such areas as project management; budget; operations and staffing; disaster preparation and recovery; and governance and security.

"We are honored to receive our second consecutive MISAC Award," said Central Basin Board President Robert Apodaca. "Meeting these rigorous IT standards year after year is no easy task. We couldn’t do it without the hard work and dedication of our staff."

Formed in 1980, MISAC is a statewide organization of approximately 150 member agencies committed to promoting professional administration of municipal information processing.
