Central Basin Partners with Orchard Dale Water District to Donate 200 Turkeys to Local Effort

Carson, CA - Central Basin Municipal Water District partnered with the Orchard Dale Water District to donate 200 turkeys to a giveaway program hosted in the City of Montebello this week by Senator Ron Calderon, D-Montebello, and Assemblyman Charles Calderon, D-City of Industry.

"This was a great opportunity to partner with a member agency and support the Calderons in this charity giveaway," said Central Basin Board President Robert Apodaca. "Central Basin is about getting out there and helping our community any way we can, especially during the holiday season."

Central Basin and the Orchard Dale Water District joined four other water utilities, including Golden State Water Co., in donating turkeys to Tuesday's event. As a result of this regional effort, the Calderons successfully donated 50 percent more turkeys than in previous years to local families and organizations in need.
