Urban City Makeover Program

About the Urban City Makeover Program

Made possible by grant funding from the Department of Water Resources, this program is designed to conserve water by retrofitting city facilities with water-saving devices within several disadvantaged communities. Some areas that are considered financially disadvantaged will receive a complete makeover of water saving devices both indoor and outdoors to further reduce the demand for water exports and improve the reliability of water supplies locally to increase water supplies within the District's service area. The program will conclude in Winter 2010.
