Installation of Director Bob Apodaca and Director Chacon Central Basin Municipal Water District Directors Robert Apodaca and Art Chacon were reinstalled to serve on the Central Basin Municipal Water District Board of Directors on Thursday, January 28, 2011. Director Apodaca was sworn into his 4th term and Director Chacon was sworn into his 2nd term on the Board of Directors.

Installation of Director Ed Vasquez The current Central Basin Board President Ed Vasquez was sworn into his second term of office at the Quiet Cannon located in Montebello on Friday, February 13, 2009. Dir. Vasquez represents the cities of Bell Gardens, Downey, Montebello, Norwalk and Vernon.

Installation of Director Robert Apodaca On March 15, 2007, Central Basin Director Robert Apodaca was sworn into his third term of office at the American Red Cross, Rio Hondo Chapter. Director Apodaca was first elected to the Central Basin Board in 1998 to represent the cities of La Habra Heights, La Mirada, Pico Rivera, Santa Fe Springs and Whittier.

Installation of Director Art Chacon On February 22, 2007, Central Basin formally welcomed Art Chacon as its newest Director of Division II. Director Chacon represents the cities of Bell, Commerce, Huntington Park, Maywood and Walnut Park, portions of Cudahy and Monterey Park, and unincorporated East Los Angeles.

Installation of Director Rudy Montalvo On Friday, January 30, 2009, Director Rudy Montalvo was sworn into his first official term of office by Senator Ron Calderon at the Oldtimers Foundation Headquarters located in the city of Huntington Park. Special guests included Assemblymember Hector De La Torre and Maria Elena Durazo. Director Montalvo represents the cities of Lynwood, South Gate, Florence-Graham, Willowbrook and portions of Cudahy, Compton and Carson.

Installation of Director Phillip D. Hawkins Dir. Hawkins entered into his third term of office, Thursday, February 12, 2009 sworn in by Judge Joan Comparet-Cassani of the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Dir. Hawkins represents the cities of Artesia, Bellflower, Cerritos, Hawaiian Gardens, Lakewood, Paramount and Signal Hill. Director Hawkins continues his leadership role at Metropolitan Water District Board of Directors, where he currently chairs the Real Estate and Asset Management Special Committee, and sits on both the Business and Finance Committee and the Water Planning and Stewardship Committee.
