ACTION CALENDAR

9. WATER WANDERINGS: A JOURNEY THROUGH CALIFORNIA’S WATER – LOS ANGELES CONSERVATION CORPS (S.E.A. LAB)

ACTION:  That the Board authorizes the General Manager to enter into an agreement with the Los Angeles Conservation Corps for environmental education services for a not-to-exceed amount of $40,000.

10. WATERLOGGED – ROUNDHOUSE MARINE STUDIES LAB AND AQUARIUM

ACTION:  That the Board authorizes the General Manager to enter into an agreement with the Roundhouse Marine Studies Lab and Aquarium for environmental education services for a not-to-exceed amount of $18,000.

11. METROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT'S REGION-WIDE RESIDENTIAL REBATE PROGRAM

ACTION: That the Board authorizes the General Manager to sign the First Amendment to the Water Conservation Funding Agreement No. 70029 entering into the Region-wide Residential Conservation Program.

12. HIGH-EFFICIENCY TOILET MICRO-DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM

ACTION: That the Board authorizes the General Manager to amend the current Contract, No. C1510, with Oldtimers Foundation for an additional amount of $47,600 for HET distribution. 

13. CALIFORNIA SPECIAL DISTRICTS ASSOCIATION (CSDA) BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTION 2008

ACTION: That the Board considers voting for Alan G. Dyer of West Valley Water District for the CSDA Board of Directors Election for Seat C, Region 5. 

14. LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

ACTION:  That the Board:

1. Approves, adopts and authorizes the President to sign Resolution No. 08-08-750, “A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CENTRAL BASIN MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT COMMENDING BOTH ASSEMBLY MEMBER CHARLES CALDERON AND SENATOR ALAN LOWENTHAL FOR THEIR EFFORTS ON ASSEMBLY BILL 885, METROPOLITAN BOARD POSITIONS”; and

2. Takes an Oppose position on: 

•  AB 2175 (Laird and Feuer) -  Water Conservation
