Central Basin Celebrates Shut Your Tap! Day
May 19th is Shut Your Tap! Day
Central Basin is proud to announce that the LA County Board of Supervisors has declared today, May 19, the official Shut Your Tap! Day throughout Los Angeles County! We encourage all of our county residents to adopt water-smart behaviors that support water conservation efforts throughout Southern California.

I’m curious – since you are all so interested in water conservation – what you think of the bottled water industry? How does this have an impact on your region’s aquatic health?
Personally, I think the privatization is one of the most unfathomable things to have happened in recent history. How have we allowed water, a basic human right, to have become a commodity that is sold at prices higher than oil drop for drop?
