The letter, submitted to the CUWCC on behalf of the IEUA and its retail agencies, the Cities of Ontario and Upland, Cucamonga Valley Water District, Monte Vista Water District, and Fontana Water Company (a subsidiary of San Gabriel Valley Water Co.), recommends moving forward with the adoption of the BMP revisions as soon as possible, while outlining 5 actions for the CUWCC to take prior to the December 2008 vote.

Recommendation to require at least a Grade 1 Water Conservation Certification to show compliance with Water Conservation Coordinator BMP. AWWA is rolling out a Water Conseration Certification Program with Grade 1 now available and Grades 2 and 3 to be rolled out in 2009. AWWA would encourage this amendment for the benefit of both AWWA and CUWCC members. Your consideration is appreciated and we would look for support from SoCalif in this regard.
    Thanks for your consideration.

Feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss this and/or would like to be part of the Section’s WCC team which includes ACWA, EPA, AWWA, USBR, RWA, SNWA, and others.

    Best Regards.
