Since the District's formation more than 50 years ago, Central Basin has made great advancements in ensuring water reliability and quality for the region. Through unequaled commitment to service and innovation, the District continues to reach new heights. Today, we proudly serve a population of more than 2 million, rich in diversity and culture, to provide a precious resource that's vital to life.
The people and philosophy of Central Basin are reflective of the community we serve. Different experiences bring new perspective that enrich the makeup of an organization and set higher standards that challenge tradition. We see ourselves as a progressive agency, trying things that haven't been done, stepping off the beaten path to seek a better way to serve those who live and work in our District. As we tackle challenging water issues and develop regional projects, we never lose sight of our most important mission - serving our community.
We recognize that the success of any public agency is measured by the people it serves. Industry accolades are certainly desirable to anyone; however, the fundamental purpose of why we exist should never be overshadowed by individual goals. Building relationships and partnerships have been the cornerstones to the success of Central Basin. Over the years, Central Basin has developed an extensive network of local, state and federal partnerships to pull resources together to identify effective and economic solutions to safeguard the region's water supply. Our success is shared by many because we value the importance of working as a team.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and our staff, we invite your involvement and suggestions as we continue to move forward to uphold our mission. Thank you.
